Event overview
The AdventHealth Nighthawk Trail Run is an evening trail event on February 7, 2026, at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, FL (16000 State Rte 471). The event includes live and virtual options and features races that take place on unpaved loop trails within the park. Headlamps are required for the 5K event. Strollers, baby joggers, and pets are prohibited on the courses.

The course uses loop trails that may include soft sand, standing water, mud, rocks, roots, and wildlife. The 5K requires a battery-powered headlamp. The Nighthawk Challenge requires registration via a specific bundle; runners registering for the Challenge are advised to be able to run a 10K in under 1:30.
Event amenities listed include a premium race T-shirt, finisher medals (plus an extra medal for Challenge finishers), chip timing, a well-marked and accurately measured course, post-race food and drinks, and awards three deep in five-year age groups.
