Nic's Race 5K

Nic's Race 5k, Kids 2k, & Duathlon

This event celebrates the life of Nic Nelson, a youth triathlete. It is held at Kincaid Park in Anchorage, Alaska, featuring several in-person and virtual activities. All proceeds go to the NicStrong Foundation to support kids in Alaska experiencing cancer, as well as youth sports and academics.

The event includes:

• Nic's Race 5k Trail Run (timed and untimed in-person options, plus a virtual option)
• Nic's Race Kid's 2k Fun Run
• Duathlon races for ages 4-8 and 9-12
• A Family Duathlon Relay

The 5k is a trail run on the Mize Loop with rolling hills. The 2k is an all-trail run around the soccer fields. The duathlon involves a bike loop on pavement and a run loop on pavement. The start/finish line is at the top of the Coastal Trail near the roundabout at Kincaid Park, behind the chalet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
