Round the Bay Relay and Ultra
The event takes place on December 27, 2026 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The course is a loop around Choctawhatchee Bay with six unofficial legs through Destin, Bluewater Bay, Niceville, Valparaiso, Shalimar, and Fort Walton Beach. The route crosses seven bridges, nine hills, four bayous, and one bay.
Race options cover the same total distance of 36.8 Miles and are available as an individual ultra or as team relays in multiple sizes:
- 36.8 Miles ULTRA (solo)
- 36.8 Miles 2 person relay team
- 36.8 Miles 3 person relay team
- 36.8 Miles 4 person relay team
- 36.8 Miles 5 person relay team
- 36.8 Miles 6 person relay team
Registration windows differ by event type. Relay team registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes December 1, 2026. Ultra registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes December 1, 2026. Team registration fees range from $70.00 for a two person team to $210.00 for a six person team. The ultra entry fee is $55.00.
