Niagara Ultra 2026
Niagara Ultra takes place on June 20, 2026 and is presented by the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers. The event is based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and follows the Niagara River Parkway to Niagara Falls and back.
The course runs on a traffic-free asphalt footpath along the Niagara River, stays in continuous sight of the river, and has a turnaround at Niagara Falls. The race is listed as an official event in the 2026 Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series.
Distances offered:
- 80 km out and back along the Niagara River Recreation Trail.
- 50 km out and back along the Niagara River Recreation Trail.
- Marathon (42.2 km) out and back along the Niagara River Recreation Trail.
- Half Marathon (21.1 km) out and back to Queenston.
- 10 km out and back in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Walkers are welcome in each division except the 80 km (in applicable years), provided they can meet the time limit. To be recognized as walkers, entrants must voluntarily adhere to competitive walking rules.
Related programs include a six-week 10 km clinic in St. Catharines with a training plan and weekly group sessions; the clinic includes entry to the 10 km event, a race hoodie, and a 2026 club membership, and requires in-person attendance. A 1 km kids race supports the Humane Society of Greater Niagara and awards a bib and finishers ribbon. A sweatshirt is provided to participants registered by March 31, 2026.
