Niagara Ultra 2026
The 32nd running of the Niagara Ultra Races follows the Niagara River Recreation Trail from Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake to Niagara Falls. The event is presented by the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers and is an official race in the 2026 Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series.
Distances and formats
- 80 km out and back from Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake to Niagara Falls
- 50 km out and back from Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake to Niagara Falls
- Marathon 42.2 km out and back from Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake to Niagara Falls
- Half Marathon 21.1 km out and back from Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake to Queenston
- 10 km out and back in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake
- 1 km kids race supporting the Humane Society of Greater Niagara
The course uses a traffic free asphalt footpath along the Niagara River Parkway, passing Fort George and remaining in continuous view of the Great Niagara River with a turnaround at Niagara Falls. Walkers are welcome in all divisions except the 80 km in applicable years provided they meet the time limit and voluntarily follow competitive walking rules.
Additional details Participants registered by March 31, 2026 will receive a sweatshirt. The event has a no deferrals policy but entries may be transferred or distance changed before the stated deadline subject to availability. The race supports charities including the Bruce Trail Conservancy, MADD Toronto and the Humane Society of Greater Niagara. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
