Niagara Ultra 2026
The Niagara Ultra 2026 marks the 32nd running of this event in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Organized by the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers, the races are an official part of the 2026 Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series. The course follows the Niagara River Parkway, utilizing a traffic-free asphalt footpath that runs alongside the Niagara River.
The route is an out-and-back course that takes runners past Fort George and toward Niagara Falls. The path provides continuous views of the river and passes through areas of Canadian and American historical significance.
Available distances include:
- 80 km
- 50 km
- Marathon (42.2 km)
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10 km
- 1 km (Kids' race)
Walkers are permitted in every division except for the 80 km race, provided they can maintain the required pace and adhere to competitive walking rules. A specific 10 km clinic is also offered, featuring a six-week training program with group sessions in St. Catharines covering nutrition, injury prevention, and race preparation.
Participants who complete their registration by March 31, 2026, receive an event sweatshirt. The event supports several charitable organizations, including the Bruce Trail Conservancy, MADD Toronto, and the Humane Society of Greater Niagara.
