Niagara Ultra 2026
The 32nd running of the Niagara Ultra Races takes place on June 20, 2026 in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. The event is held mostly on a traffic-free asphalt footpath following the Niagara River Parkway, out from Niagara on the Lake past Fort George to Niagara Falls and back. The route remains in continuous sight of the Niagara River and turns around at the Falls.
Offered distances include:
- 80 km out and back along the Niagara River Recreation Trail to Niagara Falls.
- 50 km out and back along the same trail.
- Marathon 42.2 km out and back.
- Half Marathon 21.1 km out and back to Queenston.
- 10 km out and back in Niagara on the Lake. A 1 km kids race supports the Humane Society of Greater Niagara.
The event is presented by the St. Catharines Roadrunners and Walkers and is an official race in the 2026 Ontario Ultra & Trail Race Series. Walkers are welcome in each division except the 80 km in applicable years, provided they meet time limits and voluntarily follow competitive walking rules to be recognized as walkers.
Participants registered by March 31, 2026 receive a sweatshirt. The event has a no deferrals policy; entries may be transferred to another person or changed in distance before the stated deadline, subject to availability. The race supports the Bruce Trail Conservancy, MADD Toronto and the Humane Society of Greater Niagara and has contributed funds to the Bruce Trail Conservancy over multiple years.
