About the race
The Holiday 5K is a road race held entirely within Fort Niagara State Park in Youngstown, NY. The USATF certified course runs past views of the Lower Niagara River, Lake Ontario, Niagara on the Lake in Canada, Historic Old Fort Niagara, and the Toronto skyline. Both start and finish are located inside the park adjacent to the historic cemetery by the lighthouse, and muskets will be fired to signal the start.
Packet pickup and race day registration take place in a large heated tent where each participant receives a custom race bib, timing chip, and earbands. The same tent is used for the post race celebration and awards ceremony, where food and snacks are provided. Adult beverages are allowed inside the park for those 21 and older and participants may bring their own.
The first 200 registered participants are guaranteed a custom finisher medal; later registrants receive an alternate gift while supplies last. Organizers reserve the right to close registration the week before the event to manage capacity in the heated tent. Paper mail in registration requires submission of both the race waiver and the USATF liability waiver with payment to the listed payee.
Professional timing and finish line services use Jaguar Electronic RFID through Race Management Solutions. Real time results, finish line photos, and downloadable finisher certificates are available after the race. There are no refunds and organizers may postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative for safety or weather reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
