Event overview
Newquay 10k 2026 is a road race in Newquay on Sunday 1 February 2026. It is the second event in the Cornish Grand Prix Series. The race distance is 10K and the route starts and finishes in Newquay. The course is generally fairly flat with one Cornish lane that provides a hill within the first mile. The 2026 route is the same as in previous years and includes a number of traffic-controlled junctions and roundabouts.
Entries open on 24 October 2025 and close on 28 January 2026. The minimum age is 15 or older. Entry fees are £20 for UKA members and £22 for non-members. There were 303 participants entered at the time the information was published. Fifty pence from every entry will be donated to The Cornwall Hospice Charity.
Logistics and rules
Finishers goodies are offered but not guaranteed for entries made after 2 January 2026; runners may opt out of receiving goodies and that choice is recorded on the race number and cannot be changed after entry. There will be a bag drop; further details are provided in the race pack issued the week of the race. Information in the race pack will include local car parks that are a 5-10 minute walk from Race HQ. There will be no parking on the Newquay Sports Centre site.
Participants must follow England Athletics and Cornish Grand Prix rules. Two specific rules stated are: no headphones may be worn during the race, and marshals’ directions must be followed at all times. Failure to follow rules may result in disqualification.
