It takes place in late July, during the Tywardreath Summer Fete; the 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 25 July 2026. The event starts and finishes at the New Inn in the centre of the village, about one mile from the south coast.

Distances and entry

  • 1-mile fun run (open to all ages)

Entry fees for the 2026 event are listed by category; UKA members and non-members have different fees.

Course and organisation

The course is approximately 50% off-road and uses a mix of footpaths, bridleways, green lanes and quiet country lanes. The route includes an initial lap around the village before heading into the local countryside and features hills and undulating sections. Marshals and local residents provide support along the route. The event is organised by the village fete committee, is part of the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series, and has raised funds for local charities since 2006.
