Newport Turkey Trot - Thanksgiving Day Community Run
The Newport Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning coastal run held at South Beach Marina in Newport. The event gathers hundreds of runners, walkers, families, and friends for a flat, scenic course along the marina and shoreline. A portion of every paid registration supports Food Share of Lincoln County.
Race options include:
- Kids Run: untimed, bib included, ages 10 and under
- 5K: chip timed, finisher medal
- 10K: chip timed, finisher medal
Free race photos are available and can be searched by bib, first name, or last name. Postrace offerings include donuts and hot drinks. Dogs are welcome on leash. Event staff and volunteers provide on-course support in variable coastal conditions.
Teams can register and compete for team recognition in social, corporate, or school categories. Sponsors of the event include Oregon Coast Bank, Port of Newport, and the City of Newport.
