The Newport Shamrock Run takes place on March 14, 2026, under the Yaquina Bay Bridge in Newport, Oregon. The event offers multiple distances and race formats and publishes course details and participant information in advance.
The half marathon follows a coastal-to-forest loop that passes the Oregon Coast Aquarium and portions of Wilder woods. The course uses a combination of road and forested trail, includes roughly ten miles of trail between mile 1.5 and mile 11.6, features rolling hills, and has aid stations every 2 to 3 miles. A three hour time limit applies to the half marathon run and walk combined.
The 5K is a fully paved out-and-back route along the bayfront and is described as stroller friendly. The kids fun run is a flat 1K loop near the start and finish area where parents may run alongside children.
Race services include race day packet pickup opening at 7:00 AM with a new pickup location to be announced. All participants receive custom crew-length performance socks with sizes guaranteed through February 5, 2026; additional merchandise such as shirts, hoodies, and beanies is available as add-ons.
