The Newport Shamrock Run is set for March 14, 2026, in Newport, Oregon. It is the ninth annual running of the event and takes place under the Yaquina Bay Bridge. The event offers multiple entry options and a team registration option that accepts teams of any size and type.

Course and race features
The half marathon is a combination of road and forested trail and follows a loop that passes the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Wilder woods. The course includes about 10 miles of trail between mile 1.5 and mile 11.6, rolling hills, and aid stations approximately every 2–3 miles. A combined time limit of 3 hours applies to the half marathon (run and walk). The 5K is a paved out-and-back along the bayfront and is stroller-friendly. The kids run is a flat loop near the start/finish where parents may run alongside.
Logistics, swag, and awards
Packet pickup location is being updated; a race day pickup option will be available. All participants receive custom crew-length performance socks, with sizes guaranteed through February 5, 2026. Add-on merchandise offered during registration includes shirts, hoodies, and beanies. Awards include top three male and female finishers in 10-year age groups for the half marathon and 5K, plus finisher medals for all participants.
