Newport Resolution Run & Plunge
The Newport Resolution Run & Plunge is an event held on January 2, 2027, at South Beach State Park in Newport, Oregon. It offers three distances and a finish-line tradition that includes an optional plunge into the water.
Distances:
- Half Marathon: road and trail mix, starts and finishes on pavement, includes Wilder Trail.
- 10K: road out-and-back course, flat and fast.
- 5K: road out-and-back course, flat and fast.
The planned primary finish and plunge location is the Pacific Ocean shoreline. If ocean conditions or coastal safety concerns require a change, the alternate finish and plunge location is the South Beach Marina. The plunge is optional and is included with registration. A medal is included with registration and a race shirt is available as a $15 add-on.
Registration for the listed events opens July 2, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026. Listed registration fees are $65 for the Half Marathon, $45 for the 10K, and $40 for the 5K. There are no refunds. Participants who cancel 30 or more days before race day may receive a 50% credit toward a future Ardor Adventures event. No credit is available for cancellations within 30 days. Transfers are allowed until December 21, 2026 for a $10 transfer fee.
