Newport Resolution Run
The Newport Resolution Run takes place on January 2, 2027 at South Beach State Park in Newport, Oregon. The event offers three distances and uses a mix of paved roads and coastal trails along the South Beach area.
Distances include:
- Half Marathon: mixed road and Wilder Trail, 13.1 miles.
- 10K: road out and back, flat course.
- 5K: road out and back, flat course.
The half marathon includes a 2:45 cutoff for full course support. The event centers on a post-race tradition called the plunge. The primary plunge location is the Pacific Ocean shoreline near the finish. If ocean conditions are unsafe, an alternate plunge and finish location is provided at the South Beach Marina. The plunge is optional.
Registration includes a finisher medal. A race shirt is available as an optional add-on for $15. The organizer policy states there are no refunds; participants who cancel 30 or more days before race day may receive a 50% credit toward a future Ardor Adventures event, and no credit is available for cancellations made within 30 days of race day.
