Newport Rhode Races

Newport Rhode Races, held in Newport, RI, offers the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and The Beach Mile, running through the City-by-the-Sea in spring to celebrate the Newport Daffodil Days Festival. The USATF-certified marathon is a Boston Qualifier; the half follows the first 13.1 miles of the full course. The seaside routes showcase craggy shores, ocean vistas, historic mansions, and scenic architecture as runners pass Easton’s Beach and Middletown.

Because the course remains open to traffic, runners are guided by coned running lanes rather than closed streets. Post-race, Easton’s Beach hosts a festival with music, free photos, a complimentary beer for adults, and massages, plus charity and environmental initiatives.
