Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon
The Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for October 11, 2026. The event offers both a marathon and a half marathon on USATF certified courses that run along the Newport and Middletown coastlines, starting and finishing at Easton’s Beach. The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
The course travels past historic Bellevue Avenue mansions, multiple beaches including Sachuest Point, and nature areas such as the Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge and the Norman Bird Sanctuary. Landmark features noted on the course include Hanging Rock and several beach access points; the route includes both rolling residential sections and extended oceanfront stretches.

- 13.1 miles half marathon course
- 26.2 miles marathon course
Logistics include packet pick-up on Friday, Saturday and limited availability on race morning, designated offsite parking with shuttle service to the start area, and a gear bag drop near the Beach Pavilion. A portion of each entry fee is donated to local nonprofits, and the race has raised more than $600,000 for charity. Approximately 4,500 runners participate annually. All finishers in both distances receive a medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group, from under 19 through 70 plus.
