Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon
The 17th annual Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for October 11, 2026, with the start and finish located at Easton’s Beach in Newport, Rhode Island. The event uses courses that are USATF certified and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.

- 26.2 miles (marathon)
Both courses run along the oceanfront and through Newport and Middletown, passing historic homes and Bellevue Avenue mansions and finishing near the beach. The race operates from designated parking lots with shuttle service to Easton’s Beach; there is no parking at the start and finish area. Marathon parking is at Second Beach and half marathon parking is at Aquidneck Corporate Park.
Packet pick-up is available the days before and on race day. Participants must show photo identification at pick-up; Sunday pick-up does not include onsite race registration and shirt distribution may be delayed for those picking up on race morning. A supervised gear drop will be available near the Beach Pavilion and mobile locker rentals are offered on site.
All finishers of both distances receive a medal, and awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers plus top three in age groups from Under 19 through 70+. A portion of each entry is donated to nonprofits and the event has raised funds for charitable organizations. Race photography is provided by MarathonFoto and a post-race beer garden is hosted by a local brewery with age verification required for alcohol.
