Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon: Race information
The Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon is an annual road race held in Newport and Middletown, Rhode Island, with both courses USATF certified and the marathon serving as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The event starts and finishes at Easton’s Beach and routes runners along oceanfront roads and past Newport’s historic mansions and beaches.
Distances include:
- 13.1 miles
- 26.2 miles
Packet pick-up is available in the days before the race and there is limited pick-up on race morning; participants must show photo ID at pick-up and may collect for others with ID verification. There is no parking at Easton’s Beach; parking is provided at designated lots and shuttle service runs between those lots and the start/finish area. Gear bag drop is located near the Beach Pavilion and athletes must provide their own bag. Locker rentals are available from a third-party provider.
All finishers in both races receive a medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in standard age divisions from under 19 through 70 and over. Post-race food and water are provided for runners, and a beer garden operates onsite with ID required for entry. The event offers live runner tracking and course photography by MarathonFoto. A portion of each entry fee is donated to local nonprofits and the race has raised over $600,000 for charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
