Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon - event overview
The Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon is held on October 11, 2026. Both USATF‑certified courses run through Newport and Middletown and begin and end at Easton’s Beach, with a beachside finish. The route passes historic mansions and stretches of sandy beach, offering coastal views along the course.
Distances
- 13.1 miles
- 26.2 miles
The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The event typically attracts about 4,500 runners annually. A portion of each race entry is donated to local nonprofits, and the race has raised more than $600,000 for charity.
On race weekend there is packet pick-up at Easton’s Beach; participants must show a photo ID at pick-up. Race day logistics include designated parking lots with shuttle service to the start, a designated gear bag drop near the Beach Pavilion, and optional locker rentals. Live runner tracking and split times are available for participants.
After the race, all finishers in both distances receive a medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group from under 19 through 70 plus. Post-race food is provided beneath the beach bathhouse and a beer garden offers local craft beer with ID checks for entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
