Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon
The Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on October 11, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island. The 17th annual event offers two USATF certified road race distances:
- 13.1 miles
- 26.2 miles
Both courses run along oceanfront sections of Newport and Middletown, passing gilded age mansions, historic homes, sandy beaches, and other coastal sights. The races start and finish at Easton's Beach. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Race logistics note that packet pick-up is held at Easton's Beach East Parking Lot across the days surrounding the event, and participants picking up bibs on race morning will receive shirts only after the race. All participants must present photo ID for packet pick-up or provide a copy for someone collecting on their behalf.
There is no parking at the start area. Designated race parking is provided at nearby lots in Middletown with continuous shuttle service to and from the start and finish throughout the day. A gear bag drop is available near the Beach Pavilion at Easton's Beach, and paid mobile locker rentals are offered on site.
Post-race amenities include food and water available under the beach bathhouse building for runners only, event photography by MarathonFoto, and a beer garden staffed by a local brewery with the first beer provided to runners aged 21 and over with ID. A portion of each entry is donated to local nonprofits, and the event has raised over $600,000 for charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
