Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon : Race information
The Amica Newport Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for October 11, 2026. The event offers two USATF-certified road races through Newport and Middletown, Rhode Island, with shoreline and historic mansion views. The marathon is an official Boston Marathon qualifier.
Distances include:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 26.2 miles (marathon)
Both races start and finish at Easton’s Beach and feature a beachside finish. Courses pass by the city’s gilded age mansions, waterfront areas, and sandy beaches. The event regularly attracts several thousand participants each year and provides live runner tracking and split times on race day.
Logistics noted by the organizers include packet pick-up at the Easton’s Beach East Lot on the days before the race and limited pick-up on race morning. All participants must present a photo ID at pick-up; someone collecting a bib for another person must provide a copy or photo of that ID. Race morning gear drop is available near the Beach Pavilion. There is no parking at Easton’s Beach; designated parking lots with shuttle service are provided for marathon and half-marathon participants.
Post-race services include athlete food beneath the beach bathhouse, event photography by MarathonFoto, a beer garden with ID checks, and finisher medals for all 13.1 and 26.2 mile finishers. A portion of entry fees is donated to local nonprofits, and the event has a history of charitable fundraising. The race also lists sustainability initiatives such as reduced single use plastics, recycling, composting, and sneaker donation programs.
