Newport 10 Miler
The Newport 10 Miler is a ten-mile run and walk held on May 31, 2026. The event is the 13th edition and takes place in Newport, Rhode Island, with both the start and finish at Fort Adams State Park. The course tours the City by the Sea and is described as a coastal route.
Typical participation is over 2,000 runners and walkers. The event is part of the New England 10 Miler Series, which also includes stops in Portland, Maine and Stowe, Vermont. A course map and past results are noted as available for reference.
A portion of each registration is donated to two local nonprofit partners, the Fort Adams Trust and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County; volunteers from those organizations assist at on-course water stops. After the race there is a post-race beer garden located by the finish line, and the first beer from a local brewery is provided to participants aged 21 and over.
Registration for the 2026 edition is listed as open. The event schedule notes related local races throughout the year, including a 10k and other 10-mile events in the New England region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
