Newfane 5K & 1 Mile Family Fun Run, Newfane NY : August 23, 2026
The event on Sunday, August 23, 2026 includes a 5K run, a 1 Mile non-timed Family Fun Run, and a virtual 5K option. The in-person events start and finish at the Miller Hose Company on McKee Street, with the finish located in the small parking lot adjacent to the fire hall on the east side. The 5K course passes through residential neighborhoods.

Registration fees are listed for the 5K and 1 Mile events and a virtual entry fee is available. 5K participants who register by Friday, August 14 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; a limited number of extra shirts will be distributed first come, first served. Packet pickup and race day registration take place under the pavilion behind the fire hall, a short walk from the start and finish.
Post race provisions include bottled water at the finish, fruit and light snacks, music at the finish area, and an awards announcement under the pavilion. Gift certificates will be given to the first three overall male and female 5K finishers; medals will be presented to all 5K participants at the finish. Age group divisions are provided and custom finisher certificates can be downloaded after the race.
There are free parking spaces at the fire hall and overflow parking in a nearby school lot. The organizers state there are no refunds and reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
