Newfane 5K & 1 Mile Family Fun Run
The Newfane 5K returns for its fourth annual edition in Newfane, New York. This community athletic event takes place in a residential area, with the course winding through local neighborhoods. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Miller Hose Company.
Participants can choose from the following distances:

- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- 5 km Virtual Run/Walk
The 5 km course begins on McKee Street in front of the local fire hall and concludes in an adjacent parking lot. This timed race uses Jaguar Electronic RFID technology for real-time results. Participants who register by the mid-August deadline receive an event t-shirt. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Digital certificates specifying age group rank and race statistics are available for download after the event.
The 1 Mile Family Fun Run is a non-timed event designed for families and children. Participants in this category receive a finisher medal. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option allows for a 5 km distance to be completed independently over a several-week period following the race date.
On-site facilities include registration and packet pickup located under a pavilion behind the fire hall. Post-race activities feature music and refreshments, including bottled water, fruit, and light snacks.
