About the race
The Newcastle MoRun takes place at Exhibition Park on the Town Moor, postcode NE2 4PZ. The event offers chip timed races for children and adults and raises awareness and fundraising for Movember and related men's health causes. The course runs on a mix of path and tarmac and is described as flat. It is dog friendly and largely suitable for buggy running, though some sections can be bumpy.
The route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Marshals are positioned around the course and participants are asked to keep left unless directed otherwise. Distances included: - 1.5 km Mini MoRun with chip timing - 5 km MoRun one lap - 10 km MoRun two laps - Half Marathon initial 1.1 km loop then four full laps Participants receive a MoRunning medal, a headband and chip on bib timing. Drinks and sweets are available at the finish and toilets are located in the event hub.
Bag storage is provided near registration but space is limited and is under a gazebo. Placings are based on gun time and both gun time and net time are provided in results.
