Drinnahilly Hill Run

Drinnahilly is a mountain running event located in County Down. Organized by Newcastle AC, the race is part of the Hill and Dales series. The course consists of a 5.70 km distance with a total climb of 260 meters.

The event features terrain categorized as easy, with an ascent of less than 200 meters from certain points and a total distance under 6 km. Race marking is limited to major junctions only, and the use of GPS devices for navigation is not permitted.

Participants must adhere to Level B mandatory kit requirements. This equipment includes a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, and gloves. Additionally, runners are required to carry a whistle, a foil blanket or bivvy bag, and a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored. Participation is subject to the rules and regulations provided by the Irish Mountain Running Association and the Northern Ireland Mountain Running Association.
