Event overview
The Newcastle 10K takes place on Saturday 17 January 2026 at the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE1 3DX). The event is organised by RunThrough UK in partnership with Tyne Bridge Harriers and supports The Children’s Foundation. Course and logistics
The race is a 10K on road-closed streets along the Newcastle Quayside. The route passes the Swing Bridge, goes under High Level Bridge, and crosses Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge and Redheugh Bridge before returning the same way. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals will be positioned around the course. There is a 90 minute cut-off in place because of road closures. The organiser states the course is flat.
Entry inclusions and event village
Entries include a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. A race village will offer food and drink options and free samples from event partners.
