Newcastle 10K : 17 January 2026, Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne

The Newcastle 10K takes place on Saturday 17 January 2026 on the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne. The event is organised by RunThrough in partnership with Tyne Bridge Harriers and supports The Children’s Foundation. Entry options include a group booking for six places (£150) and individual A-race and B-race entries (£32 each). The event is the second running of this 10K.

Course and race details

The race uses a road-closed, out-and-back course along the Newcastle Quayside. The route passes the Swing Bridge, goes under the High Level Bridge and passes Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge and Redheugh Bridge before returning the same way. The course is described as flat.

Racing is split into two waves: an A-race for sub-40-minute runners and a B-race for runners expecting 40 minutes or more. There is a 90-minute cutoff due to road closures. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. Organisers provide marshals, an event village with food and drink options and partner freebies. A RunThrough Kit technical t-shirt is available to purchase for £12 (retail value £22). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
