Newbury Racecourse Running Events
The Newbury Racecourse Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k take place on a flat, road-based course in Newbury. The event features a looped layout within the grounds of the racecourse, designed to offer a fast surface.
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- Half Marathon: A road course consisting of 4 laps plus a mini loop with a total elevation of 30m.
- 10k: A road course consisting of 2 laps with a total elevation of 16m.
- 5k: A road course consisting of 1 lap with a total elevation of 6m.
Each kilometre of the route is marked with signposts. Marshals are stationed throughout the course to provide guidance. The event venue includes a service village with various food and drink options.
Registration includes chip-timed results, free race photos, and a themed medal upon completion. Participants also receive post-race items at the finish line. While t-shirts are not included in the standard entry fee to reduce costs and environmental impact, technical event t-shirts are available for separate purchase.
