Santa Claws 10km
Santa Claws 10km is a trail event on December 24th at Renegade Brewery on the Yattendon Estate in West Berkshire. The event includes a standard 10 km run and a Canicross 10 km category for runners who wish to run with a dog.
The route starts from the brewery taproom and uses local trails, woodland and single track footpaths. The course is roughly 75% off road with about 140 m of elevation gain and is hilly at times. There is one water refill station on course and the event is described as cupless.
Facilities and inclusions at the finish include a medal, a pint cup plus a free drink which can be alcoholic or non alcoholic, and a mince pie for every runner. Chip timing, downloadable race photos, prizes, toilets, free onsite car parking and a bag drop are provided.
Entry details list a cost of £30 to £32 and a minimum age of 16. A two hour cut off time is in place. The event raises funds for Newbury Riding for the Disabled and PALS. The organiser notes that the race is full. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
