About the race
The Reading Rotary Santa Run is a community event held on Sunday 6 December 2026 that raises funds for local charities. The event takes place on the University of Reading campus and the course runs through the university grounds with the start and finish in The Quad. The Rotary Club of Reading has chosen to support SAFE and Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service for 2026. Participants may run, jog or walk.
Entry options include individual, family or team entries. Early bird entry is available until the end of October and entries close at 12 noon on Friday 4 December 2026. Race provisions and on-site features include medals for all participants, prizes, food available to buy, and a tap for refilling reusable bottles. Live singing by the Rock Choir is scheduled during the event.
Children under five may attend with a responsible adult and may take part in the 2k run or walk free of charge. For safety and access, the event notes that roads on campus may be affected on the day and that there will be no parking charges on the university campus during the event. Organisers encourage walking or use of public transport where possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
