New Year's Day 5K Run/Walk - Knoxville
The event takes place on January 1, 2027, on Neyland Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee (400 Neyland Dr, Knoxville, TN 37902, US). It includes in-person and virtual race options.

The 5K course is USATF certified (TN19072MS). A GPX file for the course is available. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K, $10 for the Kids Run, and $45 for the virtual 5K. Registration opens October 25, 2026; in-person event registration closes October 31, 2026, and virtual registration closes January 1, 2027.
KTC members are eligible for a $5 registration discount. Volunteer opportunities are available before, during, and after the event; volunteers receive coupon codes toward registration (typical values noted are $5 and $10 for non-running volunteers who work the entire race).
Awards are given to the top male and female finishers and to the oldest and youngest male and female. Awards will also be distributed to the first 100 men and the first 100 women as they cross the finish line. There are no age-group awards for this event.
Race etiquette restrictions: roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 5K course has a 1 hour 15 minute time limit. Race day packet pick-up and a grab-and-go breakfast are available inside Calhoun's on the River where registration is located. Complete results will be posted on the Knoxville Track Club website.
