New Forest Brockenhurst Trail Run
The event is a trail run in the New Forest National Park, starting from Roundhill Campsite. The course runs on wide, hard-packed gravel paths through ancient woodland and heathland. Wildlife commonly seen along the route includes New Forest ponies, horses, donkeys and deer grazing near the trails.
The route is described as slightly undulating and relatively flat, with a total elevation gain of 183 m over the full half marathon route. Trails are well maintained and have solid underfoot surfaces that the organiser says suit late season conditions. The course is waymarked and follows tracks through forests and open heath.
Two route distances are offered:
- Half marathon with 183 m elevation gain over the full route
- A second, shorter route
At the finish participants receive a metal finisher medal, a finisher gift and a drink. A RunRebel merchandise tent is available on site with event products. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
