About the race
The New England Womxn's Trail Multisport Festival is a single-day multisport event at Pawtuckaway State Park on 09/26/2026 with an inclement weather date of 09/27/2026. The festival benefits Girls on the Run NH and is presented by SHEcoast Multisport. It is open to any person who identifies as a woman, including cis, trans, non-binary, agender, intersex or any significantly female-identifying persons.
Participants may choose from individual triathlon, two-sport combinations, single-sport entries, or a relay team format. Distances offered include:
- 0.4 mile swim
- 5.5 mile bike on park roads and double track trail
- 3 mile trail run
The swim is an out-and-back in Pawtuckaway Lake with lifeguard and paddleboard support; a personal swim buoy is required. The bike course is entirely within the park on mixed road and trail, with rolling terrain, some steep climbs, technical sections with rocks and roots, and bridge crossings. A gravel, mountain, cyclocross, fat bike or a bike with knobby tires is required. Helmets are required for biking. The run is an out-and-back that includes park roads, double track and about 1.2 miles of single-track trail; trail shoes are strongly suggested.
This is not a race: there is no chip timing, no race numbers, and no awards by placement. There is a 2.5 hour course support window. Transition is at the parking lot near the beach; volunteers may be present but participants are responsible for securing their own items. Registration includes one state park entry for the participant only, and there is no day-of registration. GPX files and course previews will be provided and open water swim clinics are scheduled ahead of the event. Refund and transfer policies include limited partial refunds and specific deadlines; the event may be modified or portions canceled for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
