About the race
The Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival is a multi-day multisport weekend at Spring Hill in South Berwick, Maine. Saturday features sprint and Olympic triathlon events with individual and relay categories plus an aquabike option. Sprint and Olympic swim and bike distances are:
- Sprint: 0.3 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 5k run
- Olympic: 0.9 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 10k run
Field sizes are limited; the sprint race lists about 400 individual entries and up to 25 relay teams, while the Olympic lists about 300 individuals and up to 20 relay teams. Combined, the event hosts around 650 multisport athletes and up to 45 relay teams.

- 1 mile Pumpkinman fun run
- 3.14 miles American Pumpkin Pi
- 8.675309 miles Pumpkin Jenni
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 30k race
Course highlights include a swim in Knights Pond, rolling bike roads along the Eastern Trail, a downhill opening run section, and a short hill climb feature with a separate summit split time. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, and gels approximately every 2 miles. Safety and support include certified lifeguards, kayakers, boat and motorcycle support, USAT officials and marshals.
