Bear Brook Trail Races
The Bear Brook Trail Races take place in Allenstown, New Hampshire, at 157 Deerfield Road on September 12, 2026. The event offers trail ultramarathon and half marathon options that run on trails inside Bear Brook State Park, including single track, steep uphills, and blueberry fields.
Available distances:
- Bear Brook Trail Ultramarathon - distance variable, likely 50k to 100k
- Half Marathon - targeted to be as close to 13.1 miles as possible
The ultramarathon course will be released about one month before the race; entrants will receive the GPX file in advance. The event is GPX only with minimal to no course markings; entrants must use the GPX to navigate. There is no cutoff for the half marathon. The ultramarathon will have cutoffs; details are provided when the course is released.
Aid stations do not supply disposable cups. Participants must bring their own water bottles or soft flasks to refill on course. Pets are not allowed to run, and crews or pacers are not permitted.
If a runner withdraws during the race they must report to the nearest aid station, notify volunteers, and turn in their bib to be recorded as dropped. Failure to do so may result in a ban from future races.
Camping is available in the park; Concord and Manchester are the nearest major towns. Registration closes September 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Refunds follow the stated Ultrasignup policy for cancellations and deferments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
