ATW Grafham Water 10 Mile and Canicross
ATW Grafham Water is a set of 10 mile events held around the Grafham Water reservoir near the Grafham Water Visitor Centre, PE28 0BH. The route starts on the Grafham Dam and follows a single loop around the reservoir, passing woodland, the Nature Reserve, Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay before returning along the dam wall. The course is described as multi terrain with wide open views; a reviewer notes mainly hard gravel tracks with roughly 30 to 40 percent tarmac and only occasional muddy sections.
Event options include a standard 10 mile run and a 10 mile canicross. Canicross entries require recognised canicross harnesses, dogs to remain on leads at all times, and provide water bowls at aid stations and dog treats at the finish. Every finisher receives a medal; canicross finishers also receive a dog charm. Finish line goodies, free event photos and marshals are provided on the course.
Camping is available the night before at Lakeview Paddock and dormitory style accommodation is offered at Grafham Water Centre. The event partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK for fundraising opportunities. Entries are open to those aged 17 and over on the event date. Car parking is available at the venue with a fee payable at ticket machines. ATW allows transfers to future events up to 48 hours before the event but does not offer refunds or transfers to another person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
