Neighborhood Food Pantries Shopping Cart Shuffle
The Neighborhood Food Pantries (NFP) Shopping Cart Shuffle is a community sports event held in Carol Stream, Illinois. The event starts at the Ross Ferraro Archway and Town Center, serving as a fundraiser to support a network of food pantries across DuPage County, including locations in Warrenville, West Chicago, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, and Wayne.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5K Walk/Run
- 100 Yard Kids Dash (for children aged 10 and under)
Registered participants in the 5K receive a race shirt, provided they register by early June. The top three overall male and female runners in the 5K receive medals. Additionally, awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 13 & under to 80 & over. The Kids Dash is a free event that does not include a race shirt or age group awards.
The event encourages team participation for colleagues, families, and friends. Families of four or more registering at the same time are eligible for a registration discount. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at a local athletic store in Carol Stream, as well as on the morning of the event at the race site.
