Shopping Cart Shuffle
Neighborhood Food Pantries hosts the Shopping Cart Shuffle on June 27, 2026 at Ross Ferraro Town Center in Carol Stream, Illinois. The event features a community 5K Fun Run/Walk and a 100-yard Kids Dash that is free for participants under ten years old.
Distances include:
- 5K Fun Run/Walk
- 100-yard Kids Dash for under 10
Race entry includes an NFP 5K T-shirt, a race bib, a certificate of completion for every participant, and a post-race snack. T-shirts and race packets must be picked up at Dick Pond Athletics in Carol Stream; race packets will not be mailed. Registration and the race start and finish take place at Ross Ferraro Town Center.
Awards are given to top performers and to top fundraisers, with age group recognition covering categories from 13 and under through 80 and over. Teams are accepted for entry and team fundraising is part of the event structure. The top three individual fundraisers and the top three fundraising teams receive recognition during the event.
The event is presented as a community effort to address local food insecurity; materials note that more than 60,000 neighbors in DuPage County face food insecurity.
