NBPT Lions Yankee Homecoming Road Race
The NBPT Lions Yankee Homecoming Road Race is an annual running event held in the seaport town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. The 2026 edition marks the 66th year of this summer tradition. The event features two distinct courses that showcase the coastal and historic scenery of the region:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10 Miles
Both routes take participants along the oceanfront, through the downtown area, and across various neighborhoods. The race starts and finishes near Newburyport High School. The event is hosted by the Newburyport Lions Club, a non-profit community service organization.
Participants who register by July 1st are provided with a personalized bib number featuring their name and a commemorative short-sleeve tech race shirt. All individuals who complete their respective distances receive a custom finisher medal attached to a sublimated neck ribbon. Registration fees vary based on the selected distance, and the event serves as a platform to support local charitable initiatives managed by the Lions Club.
