Registration and fees
Both the in-person 5K and the Virtual 5K have the same registration price of $54.88, which includes a $4.88 fee. Registration opens January 1, 2026 at 8:00 am MST. Virtual 5K participants may log their time, can join a team, and are eligible to receive a race t-shirt like in-person participants.
Purpose and sponsorship
Proceeds and participation support Friends’ mission to inspire, support, and educate the next generation of scientists and researchers, and to help sustain UCAR and NSF NCAR research and education efforts.
