Avery Spring 5k
The Avery Spring 5k is an untimed fun run that takes place in Boulder, Colorado. Part of the Colorado Brewery Running Series, this event starts and ends at the Avery Brewing Company taproom. Participants can choose to run, walk, or jog the 5 km course, which travels through the surrounding neighborhood on an open course. This means that roads are not closed to traffic, and participants must follow all regular traffic laws.
The route is marked with arrows, and volunteers are stationed along the way to assist with navigation. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, and both dogs and strollers are permitted on the course. Since the course uses city sidewalks, streets, and trails, the organizer advises caution when participating with pets or small children.
Everyone who completes the course receives a craft beer from the brewery, with non-alcoholic options available for those under 21 or by preference. Participants also receive a commemorative sticker and their choice of a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item. The event includes access to festivities such as live music, games, and partner giveaways. A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to local Colorado nonprofits.
