Overview
The Nags Head Sunrise 5K Beach Race Series is a beach run event on the Outer Banks. It takes place on the expansive shores of Nags Head, starting from Epstein Street Beach Access. The event includes two race distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile run.
Event Details
The event is chip-timed and described as family and walker-friendly. Registration is available on the event morning from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM at the race location, as there is no pre-race day packet pickup. The registration fee includes a chip-timed race, an event t-shirt, a post-race cold breakfast and refreshments, and a finisher medal. Fees are $45 for adults and $40 for youth aged 17 and under.
Awards
For the 5K race, awards are given to the top male and female winners for 1st-3rd place overall. Additional awards are presented for 1st place male and female in the age categories of 14 & under and Masters (40 & over).
