Nags Head Sunrise 5k Beach Race Series
The Nags Head Sunrise 5k Beach Race Series is a family oriented running event held on the beaches of the Outer Banks. The course takes place on the shoreline near Jennette's Pier at milepost 16.5 on the Beach Road in Nags Head, North Carolina. Participants run on the sand along the Atlantic Ocean.
The event offers two distinct distances:
- 5 km
- 1 Mile
Both distances are chip timed and accommodate walkers. The 5k event includes awards for the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the first-place male and female finishers in the 14 and under category and the Masters category (ages 40 and over).
Registration fees provide participants with a technical shirt, a finisher medal, and access to a post-race cold breakfast with refreshments.
