About the race

The Seventh Annual MyBFF 5K/8.13K is a charity walk and run hosted by the My Best Friends Foundation in Elgin, Illinois at Judson University. The event raises money to support friends fighting cancer and families who have lost someone to the disease. The walk is held in memory of individuals important to the foundation.

Participants may take part in person or virtually. Distances offered include:

• 8.13K (about 5.0 miles)

Registration pricing and shirt information are provided. Early registration fees and later pricing tiers are listed, and paid registrations made before July 20 include a walk t-shirt while registrants after that date may not be guaranteed a shirt. Extra shirts are available for purchase for a stated fee. In-person shirts are available for pickup on event day; virtual participants have shirts mailed when registration meets the stated deadline.

The event includes categories for virtual and individual entries for both distances as well as a MyBFF Friends category. Fundraising options include direct donations, purchasing event shirts without registering, and buying raffle tickets; raffle winners do not need to be present to win.
