Arlington Heights Turkey Trot
The Arlington Heights Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026, at South Middle School, 400 S Highland Ave, Arlington Heights, Illinois. This is the event's second annual edition and includes both in-person and virtual participation options.
Event formats listed by the organizer include a main 5K run/walk, a 5K wheelchair division, and a 100 m kids fun run for ages 10 and under on the school's memorial track. A virtual 5K option is also available. Registration opens July 7, 2026. Registration fees are $20 for the main 5K, wheelchair division, and virtual 5K, and $10 for the kids fun run. Wheelchair registration closes one day earlier than other in-person registrations.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. The entry fee is described as a donation and the organizer welcomes additional food or gift card donations on race day. The pantry's listed needs include baking products, beans, instant potatoes, canned fish, cereal, condiments, canned fruit and meat, applesauce, pancake mix and syrup, snacks such as granola bars or fruit snacks, and Jewel or Aldi gift cards valued at twenty five dollars or less.
