About the race
The 2nd Annual Arlington Heights Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026, at South Middle School in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The event includes in-person and virtual options and a dedicated wheelchair division.
Distances and event types include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run 100 m for ages 10 and under
- 5K Wheelchair Division
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
Most in-person entries have a $20 entry fee; the Kids Fun Run has a $10 fee. Registration opens July 7, 2026. Registration closing dates vary by event, with the wheelchair division closing on November 25, 2026, and other events closing on November 26, 2026.
Proceeds from entry fees benefit the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. Organizers also welcome food donations on race day. The pantry requests items such as baking products, beans, instant potatoes, canned fish, cereal, condiments, canned fruit and meat, applesauce, pancake mix and syrup, snacks like granola bars, and small grocery gift cards.
