MVRRC 13th Annual Jingle Bell Holiday Run
The Moreno Valley Road Runners Club organizes the 13th Annual Jingle Bell Holiday Run, a festive community event held at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Perris, California. The race provides a selection of distances to accommodate different participants, including:
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids' Race (for ages 12 and under)
The course is located along the Lake Perris Dam, offering a flat and fast route that is entirely closed to vehicle traffic. Participants can view the lake scenery throughout the morning event, with the course starting and finishing at the dam area.
All participants receive a finisher medal upon completion of their race. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the open division for both the 5K and 10K distances. For the 1 Mile kids' race, medals are awarded to the top three boys and girls. Additionally, the first 50 people to register receive a commemorative event T-shirt.
This event functions as a fundraiser for the Moreno Valley Road Runners Club to support local youth programs and future sporting events. The organizers also host a holiday gift drive, inviting participants to bring new, unused toys for donation to children in need.
The race takes place at 17801 Lake Perris Drive. There is a vehicle entrance fee for the state recreation area. Packet pick-up is available only on the morning of the event at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
