About the race
The Inland Valley Turkey Trot is a community running event held at Lago Vista Sports Park in Menifee, California on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and a kids run, and it takes place on an open course where streets remain open to traffic; organizers use sidewalks and bicycle paths alongside the course.
Race options include:
- 2-Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Endurance Challenge (complete the 10K, 5K and 2-Mile in one day)
- Kids Fun Run for ages 2 to 8
Registration windows and event fees are provided for each distance. Registered participants receive a commemorative 2026 T-shirt, a finisher's medal, a race bib with chip timing, free race photos, a complimentary churro, and post-race snacks and refreshments. Kids Fun Run participants receive a participation bib, medal, and a donut; the kids event is not chip timed and does not include race shirts. The Endurance Challenge is limited to 20 participants and has its own official leaderboard with exclusive awards for the top male and female finishers.
Awards are given to top finishers in each distance, including custom medals and goruncrew prizes, and overall winners receive a complimentary entry into the following year's event.
