MVRRC 1st Annual Independence Day 5K Road Race
The Moreno Valley Road Runners Club presents an Independence Day running event at Lake Perris State Recreation Area - Dam in Perris, California on July 4, 2026. The event includes youth and family-focused races and is organized to raise funds for the club, youth training programs, and future race events.
Race offerings:
- Toddler Dash - 200 m (ages 5 and under) - FREE
- Kids 1-Mile - entry fee $5
- 5K Run/Walk - entry fee $20
The 5K awards cash prizes to the top three male and female finishers with amounts of $150, $75, and $50. The kids 1-mile recognizes the top three boys and girls. The course is USATF certified and the event uses live professional chip timing. The first 100 registered runners receive free shirts and all finishers receive medals.
Logistics note: a park entrance fee of $20 per vehicle applies. Fisherman’s Lot parking is limited to 49 vehicles plus 3 handicap spots; overflow parking is available in Lot 1 with approximately a 1/2 mile walk to start and check-in. Packet pick-up is available on race day only. Accepted payment methods include cash, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle.
