Mumfest MUMosa 5k and Fun Run

The event is a community running program held in historic downtown New Bern as part of the Mumfest weekend. It is hosted by New Bern Parks and Recreation and follows a partially closed course that runs through the Mumfest festival footprint.

Registration opens on April 23, 2026. The Fun Run fee is $20. The 5K fee is $30 through August 31, 2026 and $40 from September 1, 2026 through race day. Register by August 31, 2026 to guarantee a race shirt.

The 5K includes awards for top finishers: top three overall male and female finishers and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Free mimosas are provided at the finish line. The event location is 210 E Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560. Sponsors named for the event include Thompson Homes Real Estate Group and Swiss Bear Inc.
