Event overview
The 36th annual Stinson Beach/Muir Woods Marathon, Half Marathon & 7 Mile takes place on May 9, 2026, at Stinson Beach Parking Lot in Stinson Beach, California. The event is limited to 300 participants and is organized by Enviro-Sports. Distances offered include:

- 7 Mile
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable; participants who did not purchase refund protection may request a rollover credit (amount paid minus a $20 fee) by April 9, 2026.
Course and logistics
The route leaves sea level and climbs into wooded trails of Muir Woods, following the Dipsea Trail to Steep Ravine where runners encounter a wooden ladder, natural rock and wooden staircases, and sections requiring scrambling under tree trunks. The course is marked with orange ribbon; 7 Milers turn at the first aid station, half marathoners and marathoners do a loop, and marathoners repeat the loop plus an additional out-and-back segment with a marked turnaround.
Aid stations are located at miles 3.8, 7.5, 10.5, 14.2, 17.2, and 22.2, and participants are advised to carry water. Course cut-off is 6.5 hours (approximate pace thresholds provided by the organizer). Bib numbers are mailed beginning two weeks before the event; on-site bib pickup and distance changes are available on race morning. T-shirts are provided to all participants; finisher medals are awarded to full and half marathon finishers, and personalized award ribbons are mailed to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
