The Muddy Shamrock @ The Forge is an annual event celebrating its fifth year in Lemont, Illinois. The race takes place within the The Forge: Lemont Quarries and utilizes the surrounding trail systems. Participants navigate a course that includes a mix of wooded single-track mountain bike trails, double-track paths, and gravel sections.
The terrain features natural elements characteristic of early-season trail running, such as dirt, roots, and mud. The course offers scenery centered around the historic quarries and the local woodland environment.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Trail Half Marathon)
- 6.5 Miles (Trail Quarter Marathon)
