MTC Scotia 2028
The MTC Scotia is a nine day end to end ultra running challenge across Scotland, following a route from Gretna Green to John O'Groats. The published route totals 370.3 miles with about 26,629 ft of ascent and 26,625 ft of descent, averaging roughly 41 miles per day. The event is presented as part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge series and is the first edition of the Scotia route.
Accommodation and basic meals are provided for eight nights during the event; competitors are responsible for their own accommodation at the start location and after the finish. Evening meals are generally included but starters, desserts and drinks are the competitor's cost. Rooming is normally shared and private rooms can be arranged by prior agreement.

Entries are limited to 20 competitors. The advertised total entry fee is £1,800, payable by a deposit and instalments. A charity entry route is offered that requires a deposit and a minimum fundraising commitment. Competitors receive personalised hi‑viz technical shirts, a hi‑viz jacket and sponsor provided footwear.
Safety and rules include a mandatory kit list (backpack, head torch with spare batteries, maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid), provision of a tracking device with an SOS function, preset cut‑off times based on a minimum average speed of 4 mph, and a firm rule that no runner may continue on course after 22:00.
