MTC NUCKELAVEE

MTC NUCKELAVEE is a single day ultra running event taking place on 29 May 2028. It forms Day 3 of the Mount to Coast SCOTIA end to end challenge, a nine day series across Scotland. The route covers approximately 40 miles (total distance given as 40.1 miles) with about 2,712 ft of ascent and 2,733 ft of descent. The course starts at Travelodge Edinburgh Airport and finishes at Travelodge Perth A9.

Entrant numbers are limited to 20 race places plus an additional allowance of 20 places for SCOTIA competitors, for a maximum of 40 starters. All entrants must carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, provided route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. URL issues tracking devices with SOS functionality and provides race GPX and maps to entrants approximately four weeks before the event. The race is cup free so competitors should bring a reusable cup.

Cut off points and checkpoint closures are enforced on a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors who fall below this requirement may be withdrawn. Finishers receive a bespoke NUCKELAVEE medal and male and female champions receive trophies. Entry fees are non refundable; the standard entry fee is £90 and a Plus Race Package including a race shirt and hi viz jacket is available at £155 with clothing guaranteed if ordered at least four weeks before the event. A defer option is available for a fee of £15 up to four weeks before the race. Entrants must meet the organiser age requirement of 20 years or over.
