MTC NUCKELAVEE
The MTC NUCKELAVEE is a single-day ultra race that forms Day 3 of the Mount to Coast SCOTIA nine day end-to-end challenge. The route runs from Travelodge Edinburgh Airport to Travelodge Perth A9 and includes multiple checkpoints along the way.

Entry is limited to 20 race-only competitors with an additional allowance of 20 SCOTIA competitors, giving a maximum field of 40. The organiser enforces a minimum movement requirement of 4.0 miles per hour; preset checkpoint cut-offs reflect this and falling below the minimum can lead to withdrawal. Maps and GPX files are provided only to entrants and are emailed about four weeks before the event. Live tracking is available during the race through an organiser map link and each competitor receives a tracking device with an SOS button.
Competitors must carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. The race is cup-free so entrants should bring a reusable cup. Finishers receive a bespoke NUCKELAVEE medal and male and female champions receive trophies. Entry fees are published, with an optional race package that includes an embroidered shirt and a lightweight hi-visibility jacket when ordered in advance.
