Race format and rules

The event is run as 17 daily stages. Daily stage distances range from 16.8 miles to 57.8 miles. Competitor numbers are limited to 12. The organisers enforce preset cut-off times based on a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors who fall below this on consecutive days will be withdrawn. No competitor is allowed to continue on the course after 22:00. Entrants must be 20 years or over on the start day.

Support and logistics

The organiser provides accommodation from the end of Day 1 through Day 16 on a shared-room basis, with private rooms available by prior arrangement. Competitors receive personalised hi-viz clothing and a pair of road shoes supplied about 4-6 weeks before the event. Check-point food is offered at flexible intervals, and competitors are required to bring a reusable cup. Maps and GPX files are supplied to entrants only, and organisers issue tracking devices with SOS functionality. A mandatory kit list includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, maps/GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first-aid items.

Entry and fees
