Man Up & Down - Portreath Beach to Perranporth
Man Up & Down is a timed trail run covering 20k along the North Cornwall coast, organised to support Man Down Cornwall. The route starts at Portreath beach and follows the rugged coastal path to a finish on the green in Perranporth, opposite the beach car park. The finish location is given as ///clings.windmills.shackles.
There is one checkpoint at St. Agnes Head stocked with fluids and salt and sugar snacks. The event has no cut off times. Participants are asked to carry a mobile phone and personal fluids for safety. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Every runner receives a Man Up & Down medal. Awards are provided for the top three male and top three female finishers. Race registration is based at Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club. There is an optional voluntary donation on booking towards Man Down Cornwall and entrants can request a sponsorship form for additional fundraising.
An optional return minibus to Portreath is available for an extra cost. These minibuses run when full or nearly full, are not on demand and may involve a wait. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
