Man Up & Down (2026)

Man Up & Down is a timed 20k coast path trail run along the North Cornwall coast on Saturday 9th May 2026. The event supports Man Down Cornwall, an organisation that offers emotional and mental health support for men. The route starts at Portreath beach and finishes in Perranporth on the green opposite the beach car park.

Race details

The course follows the North Cornish coastline and includes one checkpoint at St. Agnes Head stocked with fluids and salt and sugar snacks. There are no cut off times. Organisers advise participants to carry a mobile phone and personal fluids for safety. Every entrant receives a Man Up & Down medal, and awards are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers. Race registration takes place at Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club. All participants must be 18 years or older. There is an optional, paid return minibus to Portreath; these buses run when full or nearly full and may involve a wait. A voluntary donation to Man Down Cornwall can be added at booking, and a sponsorship form is available on request. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
