Event Overview
Man Up & Down is a 20-kilometer trail run along the North Cornish Coast, scheduled for Saturday, 9th May. The event supports the charity Man Down Cornwall, which offers a safe space for men's mental health.
Course Information
The point-to-point course begins at Portreath beach and follows the coastal path to finish in Perranporth. The route is described as navigating the iconic and rugged coastline. There is a single checkpoint at St. Agnes Head, which provides fluids, salt, and sugar snacks. The race briefing will take place on the beach before the start.
Registration and Logistics
Race registration opens at 7:30 AM at the Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club and closes at 8:55 AM. The race starts promptly at 9:00 AM. There is no cut-off time for the event. All participants must be 18 years of age or older. An optional minibus service is available at an extra cost to return runners from Perranporth to the start in Portreath.
What Participants Receive
All finishers will receive a Man Up & Down medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers. Participants have the option to make a voluntary donation to Man Down Cornwall during booking or request a sponsorship form for individual fundraising.
