Run Like Hell
Run Like Hell is a fully trail running event organised by Bys Vyken Events that uses Hell's Mouth Kitchen and Bar as the event base. The route follows the rugged north cliffs of Cornwall to Portreath Bay and returns to the start and finish at Hell's Mouth. The organiser describes the course as comprising fast trail sections, large hills and coastal views.
Entry is offered in three categories with listed prices: Non affiliated entry at £23, Affiliated entry at £21, and a Green Entry for participants who run or cycle to the event at £16. The event page lists an ARC permit number as ARC/.
The organiser’s terms state that refunds are available up to four weeks before the start date and that deferrals are allowed up to two weeks before the start date. Deferrals cannot be refunded at the subsequent race. Crew are permitted but support runners are not allowed on the course. The event disclaimer specifies participants must be over 18, medically able and properly equipped for road, trail or coastal conditions, and that entrants accept the risks of weather, terrain, animals and contact with other participants.
If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the organisers will not allow the race to proceed on the day. Where possible the event may be rescheduled; if rescheduling is not possible the run will be held virtually. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
