Mt. Umunhum Trail Conquest (Fall)

This trail race takes place on October 9, 2027, at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver County Park, 21785 Almaden Rd, San Jose, CA. Multiple distances are offered on marked out-and-back courses.

Course notes: the 30K, Trail Marathon, and 50K travel into Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. The 30K includes a summit of Bald Mountain; the Trail Marathon and 50K include the Mt Umunhum summit. Courses are marked with single-color ribbons, clothespins, signs, and gypsum. Toilets are available at the start/finish and at all aid stations and the water stop. Aid stations and turnaround points are listed by distance, and specific cutoffs apply at several locations.

Elevation gain is provided for each distance, for example 5K: 968 ft, Half Marathon: 3,159 ft, 30K and Trail Marathon: 5,072 ft, and 50K: 7,635 ft. Time limits vary by distance; examples include a 4-hour limit for the half marathon, a 7-hour limit for the 30K, and 9-hour limits for the trail marathon and 50K.

Registration fees vary by distance and increase for in-person race-day entries. Active military and first responders receive a 15% discount. Entry fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future event under the organizer’s transfer policy. Free parking is available at the Hacienda parking lot and carpooling is encouraged.
