About the race
MVHS Sports Boosters presents the 17th annual Spartan Turkey Trot, held on Thanksgiving weekend 2026 at the Mountain View High School track (3535 Truman Ave, Mountain View, CA). The event combines community, fitness and family activities with multiple race options for adults and children.
Distances and youth races include:
- 5K Walk/Run
- Spartan Mile (1 mile)
- Kids races including 60 yd and 400 yd dashes
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K and to the top male and female finishers in the Spartan Mile. Children who run the kids races receive finisher ribbons. Registrants receive a t-shirt designed by an MVHS student.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are Adults (19+) $50 and Children (0-18) $35, with same day registration listed at $65 if available; additional processing fees apply through Race Roster. Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at the front parking lot of Mountain View High School; one person may pick up packets for family members with confirmation email available.
The event is capped at 1400 participants. All proceeds are designated to benefit MVHS athletics and supporting teams and clubs for equipment, field and facility improvements, and trainer equipment. No pets are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
