Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot
The Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot is a family focused running event produced by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation in downtown San Jose. The event features road races and virtual options and takes place on Thanksgiving Day. The course is described as flat and fast and flows through local neighborhoods and business districts in downtown San Jose.
Multiple race formats are offered to accommodate a range of participants.
- 5K races in several categories
- 10K run and virtual 10K
- Kids Fun Run for ages 2 to 7, distances 100, 200, 300 yards
- Virtual options with U.S. packet shipping available
The Kids Fun Run provides a Kids Fun Zone and awards all finishers a t shirt, a medal, and post race snacks. The event includes special CEO and executive 5K categories with premium entries that include a race shirt, a swag bag, and access to a VIP area for the entrant and one guest.
All event proceeds are donated to four nonprofit beneficiaries: Healthier Kids Foundation, HomeFirst, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, and Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
