Mt. Diablo Half Marathon
The Mt. Diablo Half Marathon is a point to point half marathon on April 24, 2027, running from high on Mt. Diablo into Walnut Creek, California. The course covers 13.1 miles with a net descent of 3,664 ft and begins from an elevation near 3,849 ft in Mt. Diablo State Park.
The route descends along quiet park roads, passes through oak-dotted foothills, and continues into Walnut Creek’s tree-lined neighborhoods before finishing at Arbolado Park. The finish area includes an arch, a custom medal for finishers, and a post-race celebration on site.
Race operations note that the course is closed in the park and spectators are not allowed there. There are four aid stations spaced along the route providing water, electrolytes, and fruit. Pace teams are listed for target finish times from 1:30 to 2:30. The field is capped at 1,344 runners.
The event is produced by Team Blue Sky Events in partnership with the City of Walnut Creek. Entry pricing is set in three windows: Early Bird $115 through September 30, 2026; Standard $135 from October 2026 through February 2027; Final $155 in March 2027 through race week.
