Mt. Diablo Half Marathon - Walnut Creek, CA

The Mt. Diablo Half Marathon is a point-to-point road race held on April 24, 2027, covering 13.1 miles from high on Mt. Diablo to Arbolado Park in Walnut Creek. The course has a net descent of about 3,664 ft and the start area sits near 3,849 ft above sea level.

The route follows quiet park roads through Mt. Diablo State Park, passes oak-dotted foothills, and continues into Walnut Creek tree-lined neighborhoods before finishing in the park. The course operates as a closed course; spectators are not allowed in the park.

Aid and support on course include four aid stations offering water, electrolytes, and fruit. Pace teams are provided with target finish times from 1:30 to 2:30. The field is capped at 1,344 runners.

Event production is by Team Blue Sky Events in partnership with the City of Walnut Creek. Entry pricing is offered in three windows: Early Bird $115 through September 30, 2026; Standard $135 from October 2026 through February 2027; Final $155 from March 2027 through race week.
