Mt. Diablo Half Marathon - Walnut Creek, CA
The Mt. Diablo Half Marathon is a point-to-point road race that descends from Mt. Diablo State Park into Walnut Creek, finishing at Arbolado Park. The course covers 13.1 miles with a net descent of 3,664 ft and begins above the clouds at 3,849 ft. Runners travel along quiet park roads through oak-dotted foothills and continue into Walnut Creek’s tree-lined neighborhoods.
The course operates as a closed course; spectators are not allowed in the park. Four aid stations are spaced along the route offering water, electrolytes, and fruit. Pace teams are listed for target times from 1:30 to 2:30. The event field is capped at 1,344 runners.
The race is produced by Team Blue Sky Events in partnership with the City of Walnut Creek. Entry pricing is offered in three windows with tiered fees: Early Bird $95, Standard $125, and Final $155.
