MRT 2026 5k : Statesville, NC
The MRT 2026 5k is scheduled for May 26, 2030 at the Statesville Soccer Complex, 2012 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625. The event includes an adult 5k and a youth 5k. Entry fees shown in the source are $16 for the main 5k and $8 for the youth 5k. Registration opens February 1, 2026.

Format, awards and series scoring
Each race offers awards for overall finishers, masters, and five-year age groups. The event is listed as part of the 2026 Championship Series. To be eligible for the series championship a competitor must complete at least 12 of the 20 listed races. Participants earn 1 additional point for each race over 12. Completing all 20 races awards 5 extra points and a free race entry for 2027.
Points for each race are allocated as follows: Overall 1st 12 points, Overall 2nd 10 points, Overall 3rd 9 points; Masters 1st 8 points, Masters 2nd 7 points, Masters 3rd 6 points; Age group 1st 5 points, 2nd 4 points, 3rd 3 points; all other participants 2 points. Prize money for top five male and female championship winners is listed as $60, $50, $40, $30, and $20. No dogs are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
