Event Overview
The MRT Series is a year-long running competition featuring multiple events. A specific race is scheduled for May 26, 2030, at the Statesville Soccer Complex in Statesville, North Carolina. This is part of the larger MRT 2026 Championship Series.
Distances and Events
The May 26, 2030 event includes two race categories:
- MRT 2026 5k
- MRT 2026 5k (Youth)
Series Structure
The 2026 Championship Series consists of 20 races throughout the year. Participants can earn points towards a series championship.
- Eligibility for the series championship requires competing in at least 12 of the 20 races.
- Completing more than 12 races earns one extra point per additional race.
- Completing all 20 races earns five extra points and a free race entry for the 2027 series.
Awards and Points
Points are awarded in each race based on finish placement:
- Overall: 12 points for 1st, 10 for 2nd, 9 for 3rd.
- Masters: 8 points for 1st, 7 for 2nd, 6 for 3rd.
- Age Group: 5 points for 1st, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd.
- All other participants receive 2 points.
Awards are given nightly for overall, masters, and 5-year age group winners. Prize money is awarded to the top five male and female championship winners at the series conclusion, ranging from $20 to $60.
Location and Rules
The event takes place at the Statesville Soccer Complex on Simonton Road. Dogs are not allowed at the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
